The eye is excessively sensitive to aging due to its prolonged and intense exposure to light and its very high oxygen needs, associated with a high production of free radicals which can easily cause oxidative stress. This oxidative stress leads to an alteration in the composition and structure of lens proteins and an oxidation of fatty acids present in the retinal cell membrane. The lens and retina benefit from a very powerful natural antioxidant capacity to oppose these alterations but which diminishes with advancing age.
WYZIUM® constitutes a targeted dietary intake of antioxidant micronutrients essential to the physiological needs of the lens and retina, as defined, in humans, during very large-scale studies (AREDS, POLA, AREDS 2, ALIENOR): vitamins C and E, zinc, selenium, and lutein.
To these substances have been added:
– taurine, the most abundant amino acid in the lens and the retina, protective against UV rays, actively participating in the survival of retinal ganglion cells and whose content decreases with age;
– a gastro-protected superoxide dismutase which induces the endogenous production of the 3 primary antioxidant enzymes, the first line of defense against oxidative stress;
– a curcumin associated with phospholipids whose properties are perfectly suited to maintaining the protection of the lens, retina and uvea.
Such a composition generally maximizes the antioxidant defense which decreases with age and allows it to tend towards its original high level of effectiveness. -

Oral route.
1 tablet per day per 15 kg of weight, in a single dose, in continuous administration.
The tablets are usually taken spontaneously. Otherwise, simply add them to the food, after crumbling. WYZIUM ® is compatible with diets for people with heart or kidney failure.
– Indicative doses
Cat – dog weighing less than 5 kg: half a tablet every 2 days.
Cat – dog weighing 5 to 10 kg: half a tablet per day.
Dogs weighing 11 to 18 kg: one tablet per day.
Dogs weighing 18 to 25 kg: one and a half tablets per day.
Dogs weighing 25 to 35 kg: two tablets per day.
Dog over 35 kg: two and a half tablets per day. -
