Topical Vitamin A as a component of VISVITAE favors the re-epithelialization process that occurs after a corneal injury.
Various studies demonstrate the recovery of corneal wounds after its application, and when doing the Shimmer test after its use we observed an improvement in tear production, therefore we can consider the use of VISVITAE for prolonged glaucoma treatments.
Another property of VISVITAE as an ocular moisturizer in cases of KCS is that vitamin A in the form of retinol palmitate is fat-soluble, reducing the evaporation of the product in gel form.
